🧶 Materials Needed
Red yarn
Yellow yarn for stamens
Green yarn for stem and leaves
Crochet hook
Yarn needle
Scissors
🌺 Step 1: Make the Center
Create a magic ring with red yarn. Crochet 6 single crochet (SC) stitches into the ring and pull the yarn tail to close it.
🌺 Step 2: Crochet the First Round
Work 2 single crochet stitches into each stitch around the center. You should have 12 stitches.
🌺 Step 3: Increase the Flower
Continue increasing around the next round by working 1 single crochet in one stitch and 2 single crochet in the next stitch. This creates a wider base for your petals.
🌺 Step 4: Make the First Petal
Choose a section of the center and crochet upward using a combination of single crochet (SC), half double crochet (HDC), and double crochet (DC) stitches. Increase toward the middle to create a pointed, curved petal.
🌺 Step 5: Shape the Petal
Decrease the stitches gradually on the other side of the petal to create a beautiful lily-petal shape. Finish with a slip stitch.
🌺 Step 6: Make More Petals
Repeat the same process to create 6 individual red petals. Keep the petals similar in size for a balanced flower.
🌺 Step 7: Join the Petals
Arrange all 6 petals evenly around the center. Use your yarn needle and red yarn to securely stitch the petals together at the center.
🌺 Step 8: Make the Stamens
Using yellow yarn, crochet 5–6 thin strands. Add a small knot or crochet a few stitches at the end of each strand to create the rounded tips.
🌺 Step 9: Attach the Stamens
Sew the yellow stamens into the center of the red lily. Spread them slightly apart to give the flower a natural appearance.
🌺 Step 10: Add the Stem
Use green yarn to crochet a long chain for the stem. You can work single crochet stitches along the chain to make the stem stronger.
🌺 Step 11: Add Green Leaves
Crochet 2–3 small leaves using green yarn and attach them to the stem with a yarn needle.
✨ Step 12: Your Red Lily Is Ready!
Secure and weave in all loose yarn ends. Your beautiful handmade red crochet lily flower is now ready to use as a home decoration, bouquet, hair accessory, gift, or handmade craft project. ❤️🌺
